Whether you need a retaining wall to stabilize your backyard, or to prevent your driveway from collapsing, we have you covered.
Every retaining wall project requires a bespoke design to address its unique set of parameters. These include factors such as the overall height of the wall required, soil conditions, site access, slope, drainage, and load surcharges. A professional can determine the type of retaining wall system that best fits the site. For example, a garden wall on stable ground is a much less complicated endeavour than a garden wall that is 2 feet from your driveway.
Small precast blocks are usually less than 12 inches in width. They are best suited to building light duty retaining walls less than 3 feet in height but can be used in conjunction with Geo-Grid reinforcement to build walls up to 50 feet in height. This makes them ideal for sites where access by heavy equipment is limited however, these projects require meticulous planning and in-depth geotechnical analysis.
For retaining walls over 3 feet in height, or for walls with added load surcharges such as driveways or other structures, a more robust solution is required. Examples include heavier precast retaining wall blocks or a mechanically stabilized retaining wall system.
It is best to contact a specialized retaining wall contractor well in advance as the design and permit phase of the project can take considerable time and resources. We are fully equipped to service residential clients in Burlington, Etobicoke, Grimsby, Hamilton, Mississauga, Oakville, Richmond Hill, Toronto, Vaughan & surrounding areas.
